Ellen Erickson – Founder, Lead Designer
A Virginia native, Ellen’s passion for design and the arts began in her younger years, influenced by her mother and great-aunt’s remarkable creativity with textiles, needlework, antiques, and design. From a young age, she could step into a room and envision how to transform it.
After helping multiple friends redesign their homes, Ellen officially founded Erickson Interior Designs in 2013. Since then, she’s guided countless clients through the entire design process, from initial concepts to the final personal touches.
Though based in Denver, Ellen collaborates with clients nationwide and has recently expanded her services with a new office in San Diego to help clients transform their homes across Southern California. When she’s not working on design projects, Ellen enjoys spending time with her far-flung family, including her grandchildren in Charleston, as well as family all over Virginia, Houston, Dallas, and San Diego.

With over 25 years of collaboration and friendship, Pat plays a pivotal role in connecting Ellen’s talents with our Southern California clients. Her extensive project management and client service background ensures every project runs smoothly from start to finish. Pat seamlessly bridges the gap between clients and our design team, bringing Ellen’s vision to life with precision.
When she’s not making design magic happen at Erickson Interior Designs, Pat enjoys being a part-time luxury travel advisor, taking power walks on the beach, and checking out San Diego’s latest restaurants with her husband.

Lizzie Van Norman – Design Associate
Lizzie Van Norman – Design Associate
Based in Houston, Lizzie has several years of experience in the design industry with a focus on client service and relationships. Lizzie began working as a design assistant with her mother, Ellen, during college. After college, she moved to Houston where she worked as a project manager for a European architectural antiques and finishes company.
Lizzie serves as a consultant on EID projects, helping to create the overall design, sourcing materials and finishes, and working directly with clients. Additionally, Lizzie is the main point of contact for local Houston area projects.

Laura Baity Miller – Design Associate
Eight years ago, Laura traded a career in public relations for her true passion: interior design. That leap of faith led her to Erickson Interior Designs, where she’s now a seasoned Design Associate. Laura is known for her great listening skills and a keen ability to turn a client’s vision into a cohesive, beautiful design. Whether it’s a full-home renovation or a simple room refresh, she brings an organized and enthusiastic approach to every project.
When she’s not designing, Laura loves spending time with her family and their Swiss Mountain Dog, Lucca.
